Perfect In Your Eyes....

All I ever wanted you was to talk to me,
Listen to what I really had to say,
Not taking things as if they were a joke,
Treat me the way you treated him.

But things were always different,
And they forever will be,
What’s unfortunate is that,
You don’t even realize it.

For 23 years I’ve been hoping for things to change,
But they never do, they never will,
I’ve got to move away,
Can’t take this shit anymore.

What’s great is that you’ll never know,
What really went through my head?
For you things will never change,
They never have up until this day.

Moving away will be a lot easier,
I’m not going to miss any of it,
As there are no great memories,
It’s all just been a long drag for me.

I’ve learned things on my own,
Picked up on things one step at a time,
